New Jersey Low Voltage Pool Area Lighting

July 13, 2018

When you’ve been installing outdoor landscape lighting systems in New Jersey for as long as we have, you begin to notice each year a fairly accurate cycle of outdoor lighting “seasons”.

In the early spring, our clientele typically consists of homeowners who already have an existing outdoor lighting system looking to add on to their system, have it repaired or have it replaced. In the late spring/beginning of summer, we are typically installing new landscape lighting systems for homeowners who have recently moved into new homes or had new landscaping, hardscaping or waterscaping installed at their homes.

In the dog days of summer, about 75% of the low-voltage outdoor lighting systems we install are in a pool area or incorporate a new design for the pool area. Families are once again out enjoying their pools well into the late evenings and realizing their lack of lighting or improperly designed lighting system are hampering their abilities to fully enjoy their private oasis.

This time of year is a lot of fun for us as pool area lighting is all about fun and tasteful lighting techniques that add security and ambiance.

Pool lighting can be achieved using a mixture of area lighting, uplighting and directional lighting in order to ensure that the pool area is well-lit for safety, does not have a menacing glare when you and your family are relaxing.

Pool lighting also needs to be placed in a manner that protects the fixtures as well as your friends and family from the more spirited water activities that typically occur within a pool area. For this reason we choose fixture placements and styles very specifically.

Our lifetime warranty on our recommended fixtures and our five-year bulb warranty mean you and your family will be able to enjoy your well-lit pool area for as long as you remain in your home.
